London's major venues · ExCeL, Olympia, The O2 · require fire-rated materials for anything built on the stand, and they check the spec. Standard PLA and PETG won't pass. We build in UL94 V-0 flame-retardant grades and cross-reference each venue's specification before we quote, so your exhibition piece clears H&S on the day.
For the engineering side · prototypes, jigs, enclosures · carbon-fibre PA12 (PA12-CF) is a chopped-fibre composite that prints on FDM but delivers tensile strengths around 95 MPa, genuinely structural. Between fire-rated grades for the show floor and composites for the workshop, the material choice matters before the geometry.
