Send a CAD file (STEP, STL, OBJ or 3MF) if you have one. If you don’t, a photo with a reference dimension, a hand sketch, a dimensioned drawing or a physical sample is enough to start. If no 3D model exists, we quote the CAD work alongside the print. About a third of the briefs we quote arrive without an existing CAD file.
An engineer-reviewed quote typically lands within 2 hours of your brief arriving, Monday to Friday · our 12-month average first reply is 1 hour 10 minutes. Complex briefs with no CAD file (where we have to estimate CAD time too) can take up to 24 hours. Rush requests against a missed deadline are usually answered within 1-2 hours.
Quotes are free · we don’t charge to price a job. The quote itself is built from material, print-time machine cost, post-processing and any CAD work, all itemised so you can see what drives the number. A small engineering prototype in PETG starts around £20-30; a 50-unit small-batch run in PA12-CF lands around £8-15 per unit.
No. Send a sketch, a photo with reference dimensions, a drawing or a physical part. If there’s no CAD model, we engineer one and quote it alongside the print, typically adding 2-3 working days before printing starts. You never need design software or a finished model to get a price from us.
